Why Champions Love NJ Libraries

“In tough economic times, libraries have not just maintained but added new services to help residents and businesses in each community. Our libraries have never been more important to the citizens of New Jersey.  Libraries are making the economic recovery go faster.”
– Norma Blake, New Jersey State Librarian

"Although we live in a digital world, my inspiration has and will always be the personalization and wealth of information that can only be found in a library. Through the years it has been my sanctuary and learning resource that will always be part of my knowledge and life experience."

-Alan Chokov, Founder/CEO of eFinance Portal of New Jersey

"Normally I would purchase my books, but it’s a financial necessity for us as a family to utilize the resources at the library. This library is especially important to us for the free use of computers. My daughter Sierra comes to the library to research, type and print all her school reports. Sierra also attends the monthly children’s story time and all the special events. The library is a place for us, a place we can identify with.”
-Deb Scott, Burlington

"The library has been and is a pillar in my life since I come to the USA.  First the librarians just go beyond themselves every time you seek help. I got a job through this library. I bring my kids 6,3 and 1 here and they love it Thanks a million and now as I start my college next year I know I will be with the right people and in the right place. God Bless!"

-Samuel Olando

"My library is a home away from home for the young and older adults. The people that work here treat the children and young people like they are family. They show a lot of love and concern and they don’t look at race. When school was out there were a lot of kids dropped off here while their parents were at work. They were reading books and on the computers and the people here took them under their wings giving them guidance. My computer is broken so I come in a lot to use the computer or to read and everyone is always showing concern. My library is not just a library; it is a home, as I said, away from home."
