How is your library helping you in these tough economic times? Tell us your story.
My life transformation from "resident" to "retailer" took place via Crown Point Road home of the West Deptford library and Creamarie Ice Cream Parlor. As a resident and new mother, the library which is conveniently located within stroller distance from my home, was a favorite destination for my toddler and myself to interact with others as we participated in Story Hour, Puppet Shows and other hands on Arts & Crafts or to just come in to sit near Clifford (the huge red stuffed dog) to read a book or two. While our time here granted us access to hundreds of books in a toddler safe and cozy atmosphere it also served as an outlet to meet other children and begin a social network which has formed lasting relationships for both mother and daughter.
